AOS SA presents:

Unlocking the maxillary sinus

Tuesday 10 April, 2018

The maxillary sinus holds mystique especially with some dentists, but we now have a much greater understanding in how it functions and how to manage this area.

Still, dentists have reservations when the maxillary sinus impinges into their patient management.
This meeting will explore the sinus from three specialist's viewpoints:

  • ENT surgeon Professor Alkis Psaltis will present his research and the approach of his specialty.
    Topic: odontogenic sinusitis

    Endodontist Dr Paul Heijkoop
will discuss the aspects of endodontics when the sinus is involved.
    Topic: Managing the Endodontic Oops

  • Maxillofacial surgeon Dr Davor Hribar will present the key elements of oral surgery involving the sinus and what general dental practitioners should be aware of.
Topic: Oral Surgery involving the sinus

The aim of this meeting is to enable the participants to use the presented concepts the next day in their practice.
